New World Zorro’s opening song “When daggers are pointed at innocent hearts …” is perhaps the second most recognized song in the fandom, alongside the song by Norman Foster and George Bruns from the Walt Disney series.
The author of the lyrics is Dennis Spiegel, and the music is Jay Asher, who composed the music for the entire series. Cathi Demman sang the song. Some believe that compared to the Disney version, there is more content here and a better reflection of Zorro’s approach to his crusade. Rate it for yourself 🙂
